A Plastic-Free Supermarket Aisle Opens in the Netherlands

According to a recent article in Inhabitat, the Ekoplaza supermarket chain in the Netherlands has opened a new aisle featuring 700 plastic-free products.

The company plans to offer these products at all of its 74 stores by the end of the year.

Here’s hoping that more supermarkets and retailers begin to recognize the value of plastic-free products.

That sounds ideal, a plastic free supermarket, I just couldn’t see much on their site.

Hi Cornelia! I dropped by the Ekoplaza website:

      https://www.ekoplaza.nl/pages/ekoplaza-lab-1

It was in Dutch and it takes quite a few clicks just to be able to get to the English language page. The toggle button is in the upper right hand corner. There is a listing of plastic-free products on the page.

      Sounds great doesn’t it? 🙂
